Laubach, A. A Practical School for the Viola (Methode pratique pour Alto), comprising the rudiments of music, scales, arpeggi, progressive exercises, and pieces in all major and minor keys. (7654).
Luitgen, H. Practical and Progressive Method, intended both for beginners and for more advanced players. Containing Exercises by the greatest Masters and some passages from the Works of Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven, Schumann, etc.
Liitgen's method consists largely of extracts from the great masters; Hermann's is the simplest course for young beginners. In Laubach's method the exercises are specially well graduated as to difficulty.
